Spring/Summer collection 2010

‘I can’t believe this is the fourth collection for KP Equestrian.  How time flies!

It’s an exciting time for us because after a happy and successful relationship with Derby House for the first 3 seasons, we are now opening up the brand to all equestrian retailers and fulfilling the website transactions ourselves.  It should be a smooth hand-over but please be patient with us if we have some initial teething problems!

Because of the investment in taking all of this on ourselves, we’ve kept the Spring/Summer Collection tight.  There are some really lovely pieces – the striped hoodie was a complete sell-out in the autumn so we’ve got two new colourways for spring; the over-sized grey hoodie also sold out so that’s back for spring and is also now available in pink.  One of my favourite pieces is the narrow-striped hoodie; the bubble-gum pink velour is just amazing; and I reckon the I Love Horses tee is a summer must-have!!

KP Pony is a huge hit with the kids so we’ve made lots of additions to this range.  We’ve changed the focus slightly as we found all the kids wanted mini versions of the adult clothing so it’s much more of a ‘mini me’ range for spring.   It’s still primarily for girls but there are some unisex items as well.  And, as you’ll see, Princess and Junior have made their modelling debuts!

I’m really delighted with both collections.  The colourways are fab – raspberry pink, bubble-gum pink, aqua blue, smoothie yellow with the usual mix of sparkly buttons and zip pulls as well as our signature silver trims and prints.  As ever, it’s going to put real glamour and sparkle onto the yard.  I hope you have as much fun wearing it as I had designing!’
